Neither Thinking Out Loud or Dapper Dude will be racing in the Confederation Cup.
That was the word from Windsor trainer Bob McIntosh this morning about his two sophomore headliners.
"Thinking Out Loud is getting a break as we try to forget about the bad luck he's had in two of his last three starts," he pointed out.
"In The Adios final he hooked wheels with Bettors Edge and Daniel Dube which had John (Campbell) pretty upset. We're not saying he would have won it but there was a good shot for second rather than fifth and everyone saw that he got checked in the Meadowlands Pace so it's time for a rest."
Thinking Out Loud, who captured the $1.5 million North America Cup i n June, has banked $857,000 to date this campaign. He has a Kentucky Sires Stake next and then the Little Brown Jug.
Stablemate Dapper Dude gets a week off after winning a $96,000 Pennsylvania Sires Stake at The Meadows on the weekend before heading into the PaSS final.
"He raced very well the other night and has $385,000 made which isn't too shabby. I'm not going to Flamboro with him either but he is likely going to the Jug."
