Warrawee Needy Sick . . Again
Jul 3

A frustrated Carl Jamieson did not enter three-year-old Warrawee Needy in the eliminations of the Meadowlands Pace this morning.

"Sick again," he said bluntly.

"After he raced Saturday night he came up full of mucous and was no better this morning. There is no way we could race him so we did not enter and instead took him to Guelph where they did a lung wash.

"Nothing was found other than the mucous so that was good but if we didn't have bad luck we'd have no luck with him."

Named the 2011 Canadian Two Year Old Colt Pacer of the Year, Warrawee Needy has not had a good year to date. The son of E Dees Cam cam up sick just prior to the eliminations for the $600,000 Upper Canada Cup and then was almost uncontrollable in the $1.5 million North America Cup final finishing tenth and now this.

He has earned less than $20,000 for Jamieson, Tom Kyron, Dr. Mike Wilson and Floyd Marshall all of Ontario after earning $535,000 last season.
