Kelly McParland has a look at the ongoing discussions regarding a new casino in Toronto in the National Post.
McParland writes that while the dream might be Las Vegas; the reality of the situation is that is not attainable.
"Mention the word “casino” and political eyes light up," McParland offers. "You’re talking Vegas, buddy...Except there are lots of casinos around these days, and still only one Vegas...Ontario’s existing slam-dunk casino money-earners aren’t slam-dunking nearly as much money as they used to, because border security has frightened off many of the would-be suckers, and U.S. rivals have opened up nearby."
